Our Community

Over the past 45 years Grotto Pizza has been lucky to feel constant community support statewide.  As a way to give back to these who have supported us, Grotto Pizza strives to be an active part of all communities, through event sponsorship, product donation and financial funding.

Sponsorships and Donations:
Grotto Pizza sponsors over 700 organizations total, annually, including events sponsored by the Police Department and Fire Department, local schools, sports teams and charity events.

Our new program, called “Grotto Pizza Community Night”, will allow us to partner with YOUR organization to generate a cash contribution.  We will supply a custom designed voucher advertising your event.  You will print and distribute the vouchers, and promote your fundraiser.  20% of the total sale value attributed to each redeemed voucher will act as your “donation”.  Everyone wins…your supporters receive a great meal from Grotto Pizza and your organization receives a donation directly relational to your group’s efforts.

Several of our key sponsorships are highlighted below:

• Dover Air Force Base Social, Grotto Pizza provides over 500 pizzas to this semi-annual event held race weekend that welcomes all active military personnel and their families.  Guests can win over a dozen NASCAR tickets and tons of collectibles, all donated by Grotto Pizza.
• Suscom and Kentcom 911 Centers, Grotto Pizza brings the Mobile Unit and donates pizza to over 1000 children for this 911 awareness event.
• Officer’s Wives Craft Fair in Harrington, Grotto Pizza provides pizza to this charitable event.
• Miss Delaware Organization, Grotto Pizza feeds all the contestants and judges as well as a monetary donation at the Miss DE send off in August.
• Rehoboth Fireworks, Grotto Pizza makes a monetary donation to support the fireworks July 4th weekend.
• Wilmington Flower Market, Grotto Pizza donates a portion of the proceeds to charity.
• Diamond State Classic, Grotto Pizza donates food and money to this girl’s basketball tournament.
• Lifeguards of the Delaware Shore, Grotto Pizza donates food and money to the lifeguards of Delaware.  All lifeguards also receive discounts at certain locations.
• Responsible Athlete Program, Grotto Pizza donates money to this program developed by NKS distributors to prevent underage drinking and illegal drug use by athletes while emphasizing the importance of being a good student, leader and citizen.
• Parade of Trees, Grotto Pizza hosts the 19th annual Parade of Trees.  The Parade of Trees is a holiday program that collects money for various charities.  Local businesses pay an entry fee to showcase their decorated tree in a Grotto Pizza restaurant.  Customers are able to donate money for the charity with the best decorated tree.  All money from each tree is given to their own charity along with the entry fee.  The tree that raises the most money at each location receives an additional donation from Grotto Pizza.
